Validator Management

Palette manages consensus participants in a centralized form. We named these participants as validators. Assuming that a running node wants to participate in governance. Besides enough staking(1,000,000 PLT), it needs authorization from the palette agency admin account. The Palette agency uses the admin account to add/remove the node address. And the action of add/delete is not effective immediately, it will only take effect in the next reward period of the palette chain. And the value of the reward period is fixed at 3 days.

Validators have a pair of accounts for governance, one of which is used for staking and the other is used for other behaviors of governance. These two accounts must be strictly matched.

The Palette Chain limits network participants to palette ecosystem partners (Palette Consortiums), enabling high-speed processing with a small number of nodes while achieving decentralization.
